Some Times Windows 10 users Exprience Windows machine Freezes continuesly, Not Running Smoothly, When Check on Taskmanager process you can notice CPU and Memory Uses Very High almost 90 to 100 %. Also you can notice One particular program has been witnessed chewing up the massive amount of RAM or CPU that is SearchIndexer.exe.

What Is This Process ( SearchIndexer.exe )

searchindexer.exe is built-in Windows service that handles indexing of your documents for the Windows Search, which sparks up the file search engine built into the Windows that powers all of the processes from Windows Explorer to Start Menu search box, including the Libraries feature too.

How To fix Windows Search Indexer Usages High CPU and Memory

Fix 01 Restart Windows Search Service

First press Win + R key this will open Run. In the Run Dialog, type services.msc and Click OK. When the windows services window opens Locate the Windows Search Service, right click on it and choose Properties.
Click Stop and then chose Disable from the drop down menu. Once done reboot your system. After the system has restarted, go to services.msc again, right click the service and choose Properties, set the service to Automatic (Delayed Start) and start the service.
Wait and test to see if the CPU Usage consumed by searchindexer.exe has dropped.

Rebuild windows SearchIndexer

open up the Indexing Options through the Control Panel or Start Menu search box to make the changes.
click the Modify button and then trim down the list of locations to just the ones you really need indexed—this can seriously improve the performance of your Start Menu search box as well.
Remove all the check marks except OS (C:) drive and click OK.Then go to Advanced indexing options and click Rebuild index button.
Now you will see this message: Rebuilding the index might take a long time to complete. Some view and search results might be incomplete until rebuilding is finished.

Click OK.
What it does is at the top of the Indexing options window your indexing will go from whatever number it is to zero and it’s going to start building index again. Click Close.
